I'm an east coast filmmaker passionate about telling stories that help us better understand the worlds within and around us.
I first came to understand the power of film when my grandfather, featured in my debut documentary short, Returning to the Homeland: Taiwan, passed away. Having captured our last moments together moved me to appreciate storytelling as a way of immortalizing the simple, the raw, the meaningful.
My latest projects include publishing my documentary short The Last Hands in Zellige in USA Today and working as co-cinematographer/assistant editor for New York Times journalist Aida Alami’s feature documentary France’s Children. Currently, I am a Digital Media Educator at Youth FX, an Albany-based organization that empowers young people through digital film and media arts.
